Ready to go!

Ready to go!
Our home the next 6-8 weeks (Just Ducky)

The registration paperwork is finally good! We've cleared customs! We are all set to sail and leaving early tomorrow morning! Finally!

For the past two days we finished shopping for food and other needs, and moved on the boat. It took all day to do our shopping and get everything onboard and put away. We didn't run the air conditioning last night to help keep our batteries topped off (we have no shore power so we are essentially "boondocking"), but it was hard for everyone to sleep so we may run some A/C tonight.

Today onboard we spent time taking inventory of all our equipment, especially the safety equipment. Later we will be doing some walkthroughs of emergency procedures, loading our dinghy on the back of the boat, and reviewing our sail plan for tomorrow. We also got some laundry done!

Our best clothes dryer! (there is a small washer/dryer on board, but faster and more efficient to dry clothes on the safety lines).
Chilling in the aft cockpit trying to stay cool (90 degrees and humid!)

We are aiming to depart at 5:30a local time (that will be around 6:30p Sunday night US EST). Many of you have asked how you can follow us. Here is probably the best link to use to follow our location:

https://share.garmin.com/SVJustducky

OR if you want to see us in one of the apps we use to plan our route and get forecasts of wind and seas, you can use this link

SV_Justducky

We use the app PredictWind to evaluate the forecasted wind and seas along our route

The weather looks great for our transit (forcasted mostly fair winds and following seas!). God-willing, our next update will be from the China Sea on the way to Okinawa. Thanks everyone for your comments!
